Certificate renewal is required every two years. This helps to ensure that doulas with a current New Beginning certification status are up-to-date with their skills.

Doulas completing this renewal course are required to provide a minimum of 20 continuing education credits as outlined on our renewal page, along with agreeing to our policies and completing a client care packet for a postpartum client you have worked with within the last two years. You may start this course at any time and work on it until you complete the requirements.

You will be assigned a trainer who will review your submissions, give feedback if necessary, and mark them complete when they have met the requirements. If you are not currently enrolled in any other programs with New Beginnings, you may receive an email with information about your trainer. If you are currently enrolled in other programs with New Beginnings, your trainer will likely be the same trainer you have been working with. You may request a different trainer by emailing office@trainingdoulas.com. Keep in mind that you can work with one trainer at a time, so the trainer you are assigned will be your trainer on all programs you are enrolled in. If you don’t know who your trainer is, you can submit an assignment and ask for information about your trainer.
